There are no cages in Heaven

I told the children
About the silver car you used to drive
And the game I would play
Of pretending
All the drivers were really
You in the silver car
You the white
Lady
The young black dude
The old timer
All of them transmogrified versions
Of you
Like a series of avatars
Placeholders for love
I looked for you in every face

And I still do
Wishing always
For the magic guarantee
Everything will be alright
In a scarfilled world
Only the Marked Man
Can save us
And break the cages
Forever
