tracing the luminous

face of the clock

silvery you say

beneath water

“What is the circumference of the earth?

The circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 kilometers).

But, if you measure the earth through the poles the circumference is a bit shorter – 24,859.82 miles (40,008 km). This the earth is a tad wider than it is tall, giving it a slight bulge at the equator. This shape is known as an ellipsoid or more properly, geoid (earth-like).”

I look it up on a children’s geography webpage

my own stab at math homework

I see the earth like a chubby man being measured for trousers

round as a twirling ball

approximately 25 thousand miles which makes it easy–

the answer is four times

four times around the world

if you did not stop

if you had not stopped you

could say, “woo-hoo”

I have circled the earth

four times around.
